The story of this unusual firm of solicitors set at the front of their offices in Swaffham (which looks wonderful) magically transforming into Wells next the Sea at the back has caused the Tourist Board searching enquiries as to what has become of the beach in Swaffham. The most recent filming has been of a cricket match at Castle Rising where the eponymous Kingdom (or Fry) has been standing as Umpire wearing a pile of caps. A senior member of Hawkins, present at the match as an extra, writes: "We are told one day's shooting provides seven and a half minutes of TV. An Extra's life is pretty uneventful; the high (or low) point was when the bowler on the 7th take let go of the ball - when he shouldn't - striking an unlucky and unprotected actor a character building blow ..."
